Passionist Family Groups Celebrate 20 years in South Australia

Passionist Family Groups were introduced to South Australia over 20 years ago. The first parish to have Family Groups in S.A. was Glen Osmond - the home of The Passionist Family. This anniversary was marked by the celebration of a special Saturday evening vigil Mass with a family group theme, at The Monastery on 29th  of July 2006. Father Pat Cooper CP was the celebrant and Brother Damien Byrne CP contributed a wonderful reflection about the value of Passionist Family Groups, their value in parishes and their contribution in assisting people to love one another as Jesus would have us do. Brother Gary Clarke CP provided Power-Point presentation graphics & sound fitting to the occasion. Many local family group people were present and were joined by a number of leaders and coordinators from other parishes. Following Mass, there was a shared supper with celebratory drinks in the Monastery's Sebastian Centre. The Gospel at mass referred to the miracle of the loaves and fishes. Despite the multitude present in the Sebastian Centre, everyone enjoyed plenty - and there were leftovers.
